Energy Audits

There are numerous physical and behavioural changes that businesses can make to reduce energy consumption, lower their carbon footprint, and ultimately bring down costs.

ICD will assign a qualified and accredited energy surveyor to conduct a complete review of:
  • Building fabrication
  • Lighting and controls
  • Heating, ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
  • Electrical systems (including machinery)
  • Water use
  • Monitoring systems
  • Pumps and drives
  • Compressed air

Following the audit, our assessor will compile an assessment report which contains consumption figures and practicable energy reduction measures, and recommendations with simple payback calculations for short- and long-term solutions. These can be tailored to your organisation’s needs, including your entire building portfolio and/or selected sites.

We can also provide commercial energy audits of industrial processes and manufacturing equipment if required.

Benefits of energy audits include:

  • A better understanding of your building’s energy performance
  • Improved building performance (and value) through adopting survey recommendations
  • Operational cost-savings through raised awareness of energy use and efficiency
  • Lower carbon emissions
  • Lower energy costs
  • Building a business case for innovative and technological system upgrades
  • Consumption insights for enhanced reporting

Developing renewable energy solutions will enable your business to move towards a greener profile. As we head toward the 2050 Net Zero target, we all have a role to play in reducing our carbon footprint, not least by sourcing goods and services that are produced and supplied via sustainable processes.

Geo-political unrest and fossil fuel depletion, combined with the increasingly apparent impacts of climate change have forced many businesses to consider how buildings and land assets can be used to generate renewable energy, as a means by which to come “off-grid”.

As part of our Energy Audit service, ICD will assess your site’s suitability for renewables, detailing which technologies will be a good fit and associated funding/returns on investment.

Let us bring you up to speed.
